An independent travel site that tries to answer two questions honestly: is this place worth the trip, and is now the right time.
Top Ten Wonders is a travel site with one job: to tell you whether a place is worth the trip, and whether now is the right time to take it. Most travel lists answer the first question and skip the second, which is how people end up somewhere lovely in the one month it rains every afternoon.
What is actually here
Every destination on this site has a fixed record behind it: where it is, which months genuinely work, and photographs that are cleared for use. Guides are built from that record rather than written from scratch each time, so the same place cannot be described one way on one page and another way on the next.
How it pays for itself
Through affiliate commission and advertising. Neither of those buys a place on a list. If a hotel or tour company wants to pay to be ranked higher, the answer is no, and it will stay no. The full detail is on the affiliate disclosure page.
What we are not
- We are not a booking agent. You book with whoever you choose.
- We are not a travel agency and we do not sell trips, insurance or tickets.
- We are not owned by, funded by, or speaking for any hotel, airline, tour operator or tourist board.
- We are not a substitute for your government's travel advice.
Talking to us
